Coherence cast aside A great distraction Conspiracy on an industrial scale: that place where all truths lie Finding patterns in the sand A face in shadows, games played by an unseen hand Common affliction of blind faith, the greatest sin of all Walking in the valley of deception, Devalued word, as a child crying wolf Unrelenting misdirection It is an insult to the heritage of thought Delimitation of information, follow belief without evidence Beware they that claim to count among the righteous When one mouthpiece is silenced, Another takes its place When begging for an end to the madness Show caution, corruption simply switched Obscuring, real enemy; Where all truths lie Confounding, churned out of the distortion Factory Creating a pure vacuum of rational discourse This place where all truths lie Axiom at the heart of the human experiment Social cohesion, asunder wrent Questioning ideologues without understanding what they meant They will all betray you, denial was the rage deception sent

Silence upon infinity, Like once again earth is without form Helpless, returning to the void Darkened sleep, she moves to stir the waters Breathing the tears, to render free As the storm clears, look to the sea A bridge over compromise, now torn down Content in the pathless woods, rapture at the lonely shore That used to be a boundary Until machines, bringing death, emerged Supposed custodians, faithless and faltering Lip service to a revolution, The legacy of their combined weakness Hear the music in its roar, I love not human less, but Nature more, Mingling with the Universe, through this lens, look to the sea A thousand fleets sweep over thee in vain Crucible of life, marked for ruin This will not stand, I will not rest Until wrecks sink to the deep Unlight, expanse Graveless, they look to the sea hHwling to lost gods, Denying blame Cities built of blood and stone, Washed away Enthrusted by change

Every strand interwoven Into the fabric of life on earth Grave consequence of inaction Should be ample reason to reverse course Kiss the ground The dust swept away leaving a wasteland, result of active neglect Treason against the balanced order, Paralysed state - a cliff edge Is this lost tribe worth saving? Firestorms , once a natural enabler, Now rampant across the globe Consuming more and more Answer found in the humblest saviour, kneel down and kiss the ground Lost wisdom, Ancient forms were as art They said the solution is under our feet But they need a little help So i stand to even the odds shattering those that fell prey to futile greed Giving a voice to productive destruction Maybe sixty harvests left The hour of doom approaches, Living on borrowed time By my hand the age of contempt will end Keys to the kingdom unlocked by modest dirt Kneel down and kiss the ground

Useful idiot, pawn in a game Every ounce a slave, as those you rail against For that I am sorry and shoulder some blame Through silence, I have failed you Grim manifest, tempting riddles Overwhelmed by misinformation Never there in your darkest hour Through inaction, I have failed you I have failed you To shine a light and be the voice of reason Offer my hand and pull you out of the pit of lies While you are distracted looking over here Your true enemy continues to craft your narrative from fear Fear is the tool they wield Against which you had no shield Fear is the weapon of the few but that’s no excuse - I have failed you

Zero Growth 05:01
Welcoming the reckoning Await rebalancing The next virus sired by hubris World of man, deserving of decimation Destination of animal exploitation The great cull: reset Looms at the edge of view Self-inflicted predicament The disease of entitlement runs deep Periodic eradication, not the answer No need to offer your children on an altar of sacrifice As into the Labyrinth, address root cause And signal a White sail on the horizon “I would prefer not to have blood on my hands, the guilt of genocide I may judge, I may deliver, but wish, one day, to relinquish the role as executioner”
7.
Final Cut 08:25
Death by many cuts: a thousand fragments Each a piece in the puzzle of extinction Not one single adversary, but a devil with many faces Slow dissolution into nothingness, Is it our fate to fade away? Maimed by self harm of the foolhardy, Can no longer hold the wolves at bay Do not rely on technology as the saviour, instead look to an archaic trace Hidden powers from deep time Used to hold back the final cut, Put out the flames that burn in slow motion Last tree felled, supreme tipping point, irreversible bleak future An oasis in an uncaring void, pushed beyond capacity for renewal They lie under clouds and Distracted by their lust This is a bitter curse: profane knowledge There was one beacon, where lay the truth But the message fell on deaf ears, servile to the ruse Turning wealth against itself, taking fate into our hands Drag ignorance kicking and screaming into the light In the empire of Thūn, ruled by an iron logic Universal harmonies, ruthless compassion, Brutal benevolence Avert the final cut, as a glancing blow The power to rule must come from within Then one day, self sustaining Enacting measures to reverse gaiacide

about

Picking up where the debut album ended, Thūn II continues to draw from the same loosely Lovecraftian mythology as the Bull Elephant band (bullelephant.bandcamp.com), but following the present-day adventures of an eco-witch-terrorist, i.e. rather than an undead Nazi-fighting pachyderm. The enemy is every person or corporation that puts profit before preservation of the natural world. With tentacles.

Given the strong environmental themes of the album, it was decided not to make a physical release at present. A one-time download is by far the most energy efficient way to consume music. The last thing the world needs is another splatter vinyl. We are not 11 year old girls collecting stickers. Same goes for merch. It is pretty unlikely that you need another hoodie made in a sweatshop in Bangladesh.

Instead, focus on the sonic joy and supporting the artist directly by buying the music and, of course, going to gigs.

Just say no to subscription streaming.
